why you shouldn’t just wear sunscreen in the summer
As a bridal makeup artist and skincare junkie, i am always trying my best to help my clients with skin prep and taking good care of their skin.
Most people assume you only need to wear SPF on your face when its spring/summer.
NO.
Wear spf on your face every day ALL YEAR. Especially if you are going for daily walks (I dog walk every day), I always put spf 50 on my face, even in winter when i am leaving the house during daylight hours.
Protecting and trying to prevent my skin from sun damage aswell as helping me look younger 🤪 I’ll be thankful when im older.

Have you been outside in November and the sun has been shining, on a crisp but blue sky day???? YES you could have still caught the sun and need protection on your face.

In winter you can lower your spf to 30 or if you really don’t want to wear a separate spf in winter, at least wear a moisturiser/foundation with spf in please!!
But me personally I’ll still be wearing a separate spf, as I am super pale.
But if for example you leave for work in the dark, don’t go for a walk at lunch, come home in the dark, don’t stress too much on the spf. But if you are going to be outside in daylight, wear something at least.

Don’t forget to put sun cream on the tip of your nose, top of your ears and back of the neck.

If you suffer with acne, go for oil free spf.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Spf goes on after cleansing, serum, moisturiser then SPF followed by makeup.
Remember to double cleanser the spf off in the evening.
